Film Types:
• PET (Polyester)
- Industry standard
- Most durable
- NOT good for 1 sided jobs
• OPP (Polypropylene)
- Softer film
- Usually more cost effective
- Can be used on 1 sided jobs
- OPP gloss finish = “Dry Erase” film
• Nylon (layflat)
- Ideal/recommended for 1 sided jobs
- Matte = “soft touch” - superstick film
Film Weights (Mils = Mic):
• 1.5 mils (1.2-1.7 mils)
- Industry standard
- Can be used on 1 OR 2 sided jobs
- NOT good for jobs needing a seal
• 3, 5, 10 mils
- Gloss or matte finish
- Recommended for jobs with a seal (1/8”)
- NOT recommended for 1 sided jobs

(satin usually special order)
• Paper weight
- Cover stock is easier to work with
- Text weight gets marked up
- Coated or uncoated - no difference to us
• Cannot laminate over UV coated materials
• Digitally printed (toner based) - use superstick
• Standard seal = 1/8” film around all four sides
• Clean gripper guide = clean sides for trimming
• Flush = film goes to edge of paper
• All films work with “Wet Erase” markers
